Christmas time's a-coming, Christmas time's a-coming..

Kieran is fired up about Christmas. Well, not really, he doesn't even hardly notice the tree. But that's ok, he's still going to get lots of presents and get to see all his family. And he's appears to be happy about that!!!

I'm getting bigger

Kieran is getting bigger and preparing for his first Christmas. He is now up to 14 or so pounds, smiling a lot, making some fun baby sounds, laughing, sleeping in his own room and in his own crib and really interacting with us. He can play more and grab onto things...as seen here.

My First Real Laugh!!!

Kieran made his debut with his first real laugh. Grandma Trish made him laugh by singing a Broadway song (which was actually about a stripper :) ). It brought tears to my eyes even though it was hilarious. I am in the process of trying to upload a video (yes, we actually captured the moment on the camcorder) but am encountering some technical difficulties.

growing up

Kieran is still growing and growing. Smiling is an everday occurance. Even better, Kieran usually wakes up smiling as he hears his mommy and daddy's voice enter the room and call his name. There have been a couple of times where he has rolled over, but not often.
So here is a picture of Kieran and mommy at Lily Ewing's birthday party in the park.
Kieran will be making his first trip back to Indiana this weekend. It's been a while since grandma and grandpa have seen him. They'll get to babysit as we go see the Dalai Lama. Should be a fun trip back to Indiana with the fall colors peaking at the right time.

5 Weeks and Counting.......

Kieran is 5 weeks and 5 days old now...and he has changed a lot in such a small amount of time....as so have Sanj and I. Kieran is now found a better sleep and eat schedule, and has started reacting to us as we play with him!! That's the best thing yet! Seeing a smile and knowing that it was that 5 minutes of your insane-sounding baby babble that caused it!



As for Sanj and I, we are now seeing the world thru the eyes of parents. Obviously, our life focus, goals, and short and long-term plans are being adapted to include Kieran....and putting his needs first. And this is a very good thing.

Starting up again

Well, this is the second blog I have started. My first blog experience lasted for one year and consisted of one post. Surely, I can double that number this year. So this blog will be about us, but probably will revolve around Kieran, our newest addition.
Kieran was born on August 9th at 4:52pm in Nashville, TN. He weighed in at 8lbs and measured almost 20 inches.
He is doing well and is continually progressing as he learns the difference between night and day (aka-when to sleep!!!) and how much he needs to eat.
Sanj and I are adjusting as well. As much work as it may seem to be at times, it's all worth it, every bit.
